We wrote and distributed a press release to local outlets and our tailored list of contacts in the market, while personally pitching journalists we knew would be interested in telling the story. This resulted in live coverage from three morning newscasts previewing the 140th anniversary, day of event coverage from four TV media outlets, and nationwide pickup following distribution of the story on CNN.
