Job Description
As the Social Media Strategist at FDLC, you will develop and bring strategy to life across a range of clients by managing publishing workflows, crafting compelling copy, creating on-brand content, monitoring engagement, and tracking performance analytics. You’ll work closely with our other Social Media Strategist and Content Strategist to ensure each brand’s voice is executed with consistency and creativity.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage and create content for FDLC & client social media accounts.
- Develop and refine social media strategies aligned with client goals, brand voice, and broader communications objectives.
- Define content pillars, platform approach, and editorial calendars for each client.
- Lead client discovery, monthly content planning, and brainstorms for clients.
- Execute client monthly content calendars across Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
- Write engaging social media copy tailored to each platform and audience.
- Design branded graphics and edit short-form video content (Reels, Stories, etc.) in Canva, CapCut, or similar.
- Schedule and publish content using Metricool, Hootsuite, Sprout, and Meta Business Suite.
- Monitor client social media channels daily for comments, messages, and relevant engagement, flagging key insights or issues.
- Pull monthly and quarterly social media performance metrics, organize analytics across platforms, and prepare client-facing reports with analysis of metrics.
- Track content approvals, due dates, and deliverables across multiple clients.
- Visit client locations and/or events as needed to capture content (photos, video, interviews, etc.) for use on social media.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, or a related field
- 2-3 years experience in social media management & influencer marketing
- Experienced in Canva, CapCut, Metricool, Hootsuite, Sprout and Meta Business Suite
- Excellent writing and research skills
- Strong understanding of social media algorithms
- Professional communication and organizational skills
- Detail oriented, collaborative, and curious
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Details
Schedule:
- 40 hours per week, exempt employee.
- In-person at FDLC’s downtown Louisville office or on client location
PTO:
- 1 day earned per month/12 days per year
- 10 fully paid company holidays per year
